Care Instructions

Here are some basic care instructions for your OSCARXFRANK eyewear.

CLEANING

Use a clean microfiber cloth to gently wipe away dust and smudges from the lenses and frame. Avoid using rough fabrics or paper towels, as they may scratch the lenses or affect the anti reflective coating.

AVOID HARSH CHEMICALS

Do not use household cleaners, avoid chlorine pool chemicals, do not use solvents, or alcohol-based products to clean your sunglasses, as they can damage the lenses and frame.

STORAGE

Store your sunglasses in a protective case when not in use to prevent scratches and damage. Avoid leaving them in extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.

HANDLING

Handle your sunglasses with care, avoiding excessive bending or twisting of the frame particularly while the frames are cold, which can cause it to lose its shape or break.

WATER EXPOSURE

While acetate frames are water-resistant, prolonged exposure to water can cause damage. Avoid wearing your sunglasses in the shower or while swimming, and dry them thoroughly if they get wet.

MAINTENANCE

Periodically check the screws on the hinges to ensure they are tightened properly. If any screws are loose, tighten them gently with a small screwdriver.

Following these care instructions will help maintain the quality and longevity of your OSCARXFRANK eyewear acetate sunglasses.

MOULDING YOUR SUNGLASSES

Moulding and manipulating Italian acetate sunglasses to achieve the perfect fit requires careful attention to detail and a gentle touch. Here are some steps you can follow to mould and manipulate your Italian acetate sunglasses for the perfect fit:

STEP 1
Prepare the sunglasses: First, make sure that the sunglasses are clean and free from any dirt or debris.
You will also need a bowl of hot water and a towel.

STEP 2
Heat the frames: Hold the frames of the sunglasses over the bowl of hot water for
approximately 30 seconds.
This will soften the acetate and make it more pliable.

STEP 3
Bend the arms: Once the acetate has softened, gently bend the arms of the
sunglasses to adjust the fit.
Be sure to apply even pressure to both arms to avoid damaging the frame.

STEP 4
Adjust the nose pads: Use your fingers to adjust the nose pads to fit comfortably on the bridge of your nose.
Be gentle when doing this to avoid bending the frame or breaking the nose pads.

STEP 5
Cool the frames: Once you are happy with the fit of the sunglasses, hold them under cold running water or place them in a bowl of cold water to cool and set the frame.

STEP 6
Dry the frames: Once the frames have cooled, dry them off with a soft towel.

STEP 7
Repeat if necessary: If the fit is not perfect, you can repeat the process until you achieve the desired fit.

It is important to note that acetate sunglasses can be delicate, so it is important to handle them with care when moulding and manipulating them. Be sure to apply even pressure and not to bend the frame too much as this can damage the material.
