This is Mitch.AKA Middy.

So you want to know a bit about us?

This is Mitch.
AKA Middy.

Mitch is a misfit, a rebel, the very definition of a round peg in a square hole. That's putting it mildly.

With a love for design and a brain that fires on all four of ADHD's cylinders, he was sick to death of fake, corporate-run, boring brands dominating the luxury eyewear space…

Brands that look alike.Brands that copy each other.Brands that charge a fortune for the privilege.Brands with no soul.No personality. No pulse.

So in 2014, Mitch quit his job as an electrician and set out on a mission to kick the entire category in the dick…

Yikes.

This is Emma.The real boss.

This is Emma.
The real boss.

The adult in the room. The voice of reason. The calm amidst the chaos. The yin to Mitch's yang.

Emma didn't particularly like the whole "kick 'em in the dick" approach. So together, they refined the mission:

To create a new standard in premium eyewear.

And with that, Oscar & Frank was born…

Our frames don't ask for attention…

They command it.

From the get-go, we refused to play it safe. Never have. Never will.

While everyone else was busy making sunglasses designed to blend in, we were busy designing frames impossible to ignore.

Bold colours.
Sharp lines.
Heavy detailing.
Strong silhouettes.

You know, the kind of frames worn by:

Icons.
Rebels.
Free spirits.
Rule breakers.

Legends who aren’t afraid to stand out and be seen. And the occasional Victoria’s Secret Angel.

What happened next was insane.

People noticed. Sales took off. And before we could come up for air, our frames started appearing on some of the most recognisable faces on the planet.

Hell yeah, they're made in China.

Surprise, surprise… When it comes to manufacturing and quality control, nobody does it quite like the People’s Republic of China.

Now… we could name the brands who swear blind their frames are homegrown, while manufacturing right out of the very same factory… in China. But that’s not our style.

At least we have the balls to admit it.

Because contrary to what those marketing departments would have you believe, quality doesn’t come from a postcode. It comes from obsession…

Obsession over the materials.

Obsession over craftsmanship.

Obsession over the details.

Mazzucchelli 1849

The finest Italian acetate from the most established house in the business. Better than plastic crap. We’re old school like that.

Essilor lenses

The very best in optics for crystal clear clarity. All the way from France, assembled in China. Don’t judge us. Judge the liars.

NASA-grade titanium

Who even knows what NASA-grade means? But they’re feather-light and near impossible to bend. Not cheap metal that snaps in your bag.

Hand-finished

Sure, machines do the heavy lifting. But these bad boys are kissed by God, finished by hand, right down to the last hinge.

Reserved for legends only.

The world doesn’t need another boring brand or another pair of lifeless sunglasses.

And it definitely doesn’t need another person trying desperately to fit in.

The people we admire don’t pretend to be perfect.

They embrace individuality.
They take risks.
They back themselves.
They’ve got shit on their tyres.

They couldn’t care less about blending in.
They’ve got scars.
They’ve made bad decisions.
They’ve taken wrong turns.

They play by their own rules… and still break them.

That’s who we design for.

Real people with personality, presence, and attitude.

Those who understand what Bukowski meant when he wrote:

“Style is the answer to everything.”

Those who refuse to listen to any prick telling them how to live their life.

Yes, we laugh.
Yes, we make jokes.
Yes, we occasionally say inappropriate shit.

But when it comes to our customers, one thing’s for sure:

We love and appreciate the hell out of you.

P.S. We would never condone kicking anyone in the dick. Not really sure how that line got in there.

Strap in.
We're only getting started.
